My first rya rugs are called Värien sinfonia (Symphony of colors) and Namu (Candy). The rugs were made in collaboration with grandma.

 

The name Namu comes from the first letters of the words

NAna (my nickname) and MUmmi (Finnish word for grandma).

In my MA thesis I researched the effects of slowing down with crafts, and created two of my own contemporary rya rug designs.
